✅ Step 1 — Check Your Everyday Needs
Ask yourself:
Do you need help with safe travel or Orientation & Mobility (O&M) training?
Do you need support from carers or family?
Can you safely make phone calls and stay in touch with others?
If you’re unsure, our team can help you understand what support may be right for you.
✅ Step 2 — Have a Recent Eye or Medical Report
To help us understand your current needs, please provide an eye or medical report dated within the last 12 months, as vision and health conditions may change over time.
If you don't have a recent report, no worries, we can arrange a referral to our partner optometrists at the University of Auckland.
✅ Step 3 — Send a Referral to VRS
You (or your organisation) can send your referral directly to us at:

Once we receive your referral, our team will contact you to arrange an assessment appointment with one of our specialists.
